For over 40 years, the "Summer of Music
between Inn and
Salzach" a major player in
the regional concert and festival
landscape of five counties
Rosenheim, Traunstein,
Mühldorf, Altötting and
Berchtesgaden.
In 1976 to
meet with the music
Grassauer Dr. Franz Zech
the idea, the magnificent
churches, monasteries, castles
and the countryside between Inn
and Salzach. Supported by
Dr. Robert Münster,
the former head of the music department of
the Bavarian State Library, church music
director Monsignor Alois
Kirchberger and the then District
Traunstein, Leonhard
Schmucker, the unmistakable
profile of our concert series
developed.
What makes music so interesting summer where but the internationally renowned festival cities of Munich and Salzburg are so close?
It
is this slightly different concept, this particular triad of music, landscape
and architecture. Used
to the point: The Experience Music Summer starts with the drive to the concert
venue. Far
from the urban bustle you can enjoy the summer alpine landscape and is looking
forward to music enjoyment in an architectural jewel, with which the area
between Inn and Salzach is so richly blessed. For
the former Traunstein District Hermann Steinmaßl the special charm of the music
summer is the successful interaction of many enthusiastic music creators, "Our
concert series is a cultural order and the State of Bavaria, the participating
counties, municipalities, church foundations, many volunteer contributors, our
sponsoring and sponsors carried
