"must" have seen the buildings on the Chiemsee islands and the
cyclist "must" have just circled the lake. The classic Chiemsee
bike tour is the extended tour that leads away from Lake
Chiemsee on the south side. Over the Feldwies to overseas and to Westerbuchberg.
Here it really goes up the mountain, which is still feasible for
everyone. It would be worth a detour to Bachham with a stop at the Gsathof
Alpenhof. Of course, nothing necessarily has to be on vacation, but if
you do without this great bike tour, you have forgotten something during
your Chiemsee vacation. Of course there will always be a lot of
people on the Chiemsee circuit and cycle path, but it will
certainly be less on the longer tour. Nevertheless, you shouldn't necessarily go
on the weekends, because there are also a lot of
locals on holiday. The abundance of the wonderful landscape
impressions is overwhelming and definitely worth it. Please be careful, because
there are always hikers on the bike path, which cyclists have to
be considerate of.
