BajuwarenTour 126 km
The BajuwarenTour in the border area between Bavaria, Upper Austria and Salzburg
On the BajuwarenTour follow the tracks of the Bajuwaren
in the Austrian border area on 126 kilometers through the Waginger Seengebiet
and the Salzburger Seenland. The lake area was settled settlement area of the
Bajuwaren some 1,500 years ago, which is still visible in many places along the
route. In particular the Bajuwarenhaus in the Kurpark or the Bajuwarengehft in
Mattsee and the Bajuwarenmuseum in Waging am See provide a lively picture of the
then life and economics. Of course the BajuwarenTour is also worth a bike trip -
it leads through the lakeside pre-Alps between Chiemgau and
Salzburgerland.
In a fascinating landscape the Radurlauber travels on 90%
asphalted roads and paths away from main roads and without major ascents and
descents. Experience traditional craftsmanship and a lot of natural and cultural
aspects at the edge of the trail.
