the 1st and 2nd weekend of Advent:

Every year one of the most beautiful and romantic
Christmas markets in Chiemgau takes place on the Fraueninsel!
Even the
journey with the Chiemsee ship to the Fraueninsel illuminated for Christmas is a
special Chiemsee experience for many. The visitors can expect old handicrafts, a
wonderful atmosphere, unusual gift ideas and culinary delicacies
the island
Christmas in the Bavarian Meeeeeer.
A sophisticated, wonderful Advent music
program in the Münster conveys the Christmas atmosphere.
The little visitors can look forward to
the cuddly alpacas and the historic children's carousel
and a fairytale Christmas backdrop again this year. The Fraueninsel
can be reached with the
ships of the Chiemsee Schifffahrt, which run every half hour from
the port of Prien / Stock and from Gstadt..

The traditional, four-week Christmas market on the town square is bigger,
more beautiful and more attractive than ever. A varied supporting program on the
Christmas market stage and special children's activities make the Traunstein
Christmas market an atmospheric and enjoyable festival for the whole
family.
Surrounded by the picturesque facades of the historic old
town of the newly renovated parish church, over 30 festively decorated and
illuminated Christmas market huts await visitors from near and far. The range of
high-quality handicrafts was also expanded. Changing dealers in the individual
huts guarantee a varied and varied range of goods for four weeks. The selection
of culinary delights is just as extensive. Also this year there will be a lot of
performances and actions on the Christkindlmarkt stage: choirs, wind and music
groups, dance performances,
Readings and of course the visit of St.
Nicholas.

The Prien Christmas market takes place on all four Advent weekends on the
Christmas-decorated market square in the middle of the market town of
Prien.
A bright, festive magic light immerses the place in an atmospheric
atmosphere. The strolling visitors are accompanied by beautiful handicrafts,
Christmas decorations and many Christmas gift ideas, as well as all sorts of
savory delicacies such as roasted almonds, chestnuts and sweet
waffles.
Readings and parlor music in the local museum, crafts in the
library, Christmas church tours in Urschalling and a varied music program on
stage get old and young in the mood for the upcoming Christmas season.
There are a
number of free parking spaces available in the town center for your visit:

The
forest Christmas If you really want to immerse yourself in the Advent season,
you've come to the right place at the Waldmarkt in Halsbach. There's not just
one tree here - there are hundreds! The Waldmarkt is, as the name suggests, in
the middle of the forest. In a dreamlike setting, between gnarled trunks, with
the scent of fried and baked goods in the nose and in the midst of thousands of
lights, you can experience an unmistakable day. There, around the Waldbühne, an
entire Advent town is emerging during this time. Quaint wooden huts and
enchanting stands invite you to marvel at handicrafts in all variations.
Embedded by trees and the church, this is the perfect place for cozy,
atmospheric hours in a pre-Christmas atmosphere. A total of 40 exhibitors from
all over Germany and Austria such as nativity scene carvers from South Tyrol
offer high-quality products for the most beautiful festival of the year.
Gastronomy as a culinary enrichment spoils you with exquisite Christmas
delicacies at its best. The daily events on the large stage in the event tent
round off the festive setting. Please wear good shoes. Not suitable for people

The market in Bergen opens its doors on Saturday,
November 28th at 2 p.m., the official opening with Mayor Schneider is at 5 p.m.,
on Sunday, November 29, the market opens at 11 a.m. and lasts until 8
p.m.
Far away from the hustle and bustle of the big commercial Christmas
markets, there are traditionally contemplative Christmas markets in Chiemgau. In
the lovingly decorated “Standl” visitors will find fine handicrafts, regional
delicacies and home-made “Platzerl”. The farmers' women arrange over 100 candles
and torches during Advent in Bergen. The Hochfelln massif forms the backdrop for
one of the largest markets
in
southern
Upper Bavaria with around 45 exhibitors.
