One of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Bavaria,
which delights visitors from all over every year, is on the Fraueninsel in Lake
Chiemsee. Unforgettable impressions, exquisite handicrafts, unusual gift ideas
and aromatic delicacies frame the island Christmas market
in the Bavarian
Sea.
Over 90 exhibitors will transform the island on the
long weekends from November 30th. until 03.12. and 07.12 to 10.12, Thursday from 3 p.m.
to 8 p.m., Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., in a
fairytale Christmas setting. This year, little visitors can once again look forward to the
cuddly alpacas and the historic children's carousel. The Advent music
program in the cathedral makes a visit to the Fraueninsel
a pre-Christmas treat. The Fraueninsel can be reached with the Chiemsee
Schifffahrt ships, which run every half hour from the port of
Prien/Stock. Back on land, the Prien Christmas market
on the market square invites you to take a leisurely
stroll and feast on Christmas on all four
Advent weekends..
