The Upper Bavarian city of pilgrimage conveys a unique atmosphere in the run-up to Christmas and creates a special atmosphere for the “most beautiful festival of the year”. For decades the spacious Kapellplatz, lined with magnificent baroque buildings, has been home to one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. The Altöttinger Christkindlmarkt offers an original range of craft and handcraft products and, last but not least, a selection of culinary specialties.
Altöttinger Advent singing in alpine style
Events:
on December 2nd, December
9th. and December 16, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m
in the Basilica of St. Anna
At the traditional Altöttinger Advent singing with the song table, vocal and instrumental groups from the Bavarian Oberland and Salzburg perform in the Christmas-decorated St. Anna's Basilica. It is the outstanding music event in the run-up to Christmas.
