Then
it starts again! The start of the Wiesn also causes a lot of turbulence on the
streets: the two festival processions at the weekend really mess up the traffic.
The
relocation plan for download...
- Traditional costume and riflemen’s procession (on Sunday September 18th,
2022):
-
Route of the procession: From 10:00 a.m., the costume and rifle
procession with almost 8,500 men leaves Maximilianstraße via Residenzstraße,
Ludwigstraße, Sonnenstraße, Schwanthalerstraße and Paul-Heyse-Straße to the
Wiesn.
- Roadblocks: To secure the train, the train route will be blocked
off extensively from around 8.30 a.m.; only residents and regular buses are
allowed to drive into the blocking ring. Because of the installation,
Widenmayerstrasse, Sternstrasse and Maximilianstrasse are also closed. (No
guarantee!)
-
Tram and buses: During the train, tram 17 only runs between
Amalienburgstraße and Gondrellplatz, tram 18 only between Gondrellplatz and
Hauptbahnhof and Amalienstraße and between Effnerplatz and Sendlinger Tor. Tram
19 only runs between Pasing, Hauptbahnhof and Stiglmaierplatz and between
Sankt-Veit-Straße and Sendlinger Tor. Tram 27 runs between Petuelring and
Hauptbahnhof as well as between Schwanseestrasse and Sendlinger Tor. Bus 58 will
be diverted from Goetheplatz to Sendlinger-Tor-Platz, the Odeonsplatz stop on
line 100 will be omitted. Bus 132 will be diverted from Erhardtstraße.
