Further information...

Every year on Easter Monday , organized by the St. Georgs-Verein, the Traunsteiner Georgi-Ritt takes place. Festively decorated horses (about 500 cold and warm-blooded horses) and wagons, historical groups and music bands go up to the church in the morning in Ettendorf. In addition, there is a historic Schwertanz, which is on the market square in the morning and afternoon. The Georgiritt in Traunstein can look back on a centuries-long tradition. Shortly from the Ordinariat was prohibited, the Georgiritt was again carried out from 1892 on the initiative of the former Oswald Fürst. The Schwertertanz was performed in 1926 for the first time.
