132nd regional costume festival
Gauverband I in Westerham from July 20th. until July 21, 2024

Organizer of the GTEV  "d'Mangfalltaler" Westerham

Festival weekend Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and 21st, 2024
10:00 a.m. service followed by a parade through the town

The largest and oldest traditional costume festival in Bavaria takes place every year in Chiemgau or the Chiemsee Alpine region.
Preisplattln and Dirndldrahn, festival parade and local evening - traditions are still very important and maintained in Chiemgau. In addition to the traditional costume and shooting parade at the Oktoberfest in Munich, the Gaufest of Gauverband I is probably the largest traditional costume festival in Bavaria. The traditional costume associations are particularly committed to their preservation.

A Gauverband is an association of Bavarian mountain costume preservation associations. More than 100 clubs with over 40,000 members have come together in the Gauverband, founded in 1890 and based in Traunstein. Their annual traditional costume festival is the largest in Bavaria. 9,000 traditional costumers are expected every year.
The Gautrachtenfest is held at a different location every year. from July 20th and July 21, 2024 it will take place in Teisendorf.
