The corona pandemic requires special measures and regulations so that restricted passenger operation takes place.
(limited transport capacity, adjustment of operating times).
Passenger operation is subject to public safety and
hygiene measures.
Directions from Seebruck towards Chieming. At the
roundabout, turn right and drive through Chieming and past Grabenstätt onto the
Munich-Salzburg motorway. Leave the motorway exit at the Siegsdorf exit and
continue to Ruhpolding. Here you drive on the bypass towards Ruhpolding. After
the village, turn onto the street in the direction of Inzell and come to the
Rauschbergbahn.
The Rauschberg takes its name neither from alcohol excesses nor from a lush alpine rush bloom: The "Rausch" used to be the lead-containing rock that was mined on the Rauschberg.
Since 1953, the Rauschberg cable car has been taking guests up to
Ruhpolding's local mountain, in the summit area of which a geology educational
trail and the art mile of Angerer, the younger, provide entertainment.
Meanwhile, a very special attraction is “Adam's Hand” on one of the Rauschberg
summits by Angerer, the younger, a 6 m high, stylized hand that points exactly
to Rome.
