and Bavarians in the Celt farmstead Stöffling

The popular festival
is already being held for the 10th time by Tourist-Information Seebruck in
cooperation with Truchtlaching.
On the Celtengerhöft
Stöffling the visitors enter the world of the Celts, Romans and the baju goods
of the Early Middle Ages. Every year in October, ancient peoples
come together on the archaeological circuit of
Seeon-Seebruck.
A highlight of this year is the demonstration of the one-on-one reconstruction of a Roman archer, by the Romansgruppe Bedaienses of the Gymnasium Landschulheim Schloss Ising, with Messrs Marcus Altmann and Kurt von Kiessling. Within the scope of a German-wide project, with support and sponsorship of the university, the artillery of the type Orsova originated.
The archery for the visitors of the festival and the demonstration of the gun will take place on the reunion of the neighboring Moierhofes.
The Roman groups Legio 2 Italica, 2. Rätische Cohort,
4. Vindelicer cohort and Bedaienses.
At this festival there is much to see and admire from past times. Through historical performers, old crafts, such as spinning, chain warping, wool dyeing and weaving, salt boiling, pottery or carving will turn the glass bead twisting.
There are schautics on the subject of food and wool and shoes from the Iron Age. Adults and children can experience the history themselves and learn about glass making, leatherworking, grain milling, coins, archery and much more.
Their arrival has announced Celtic groups of late Hallstatt, early, mid and
late LaTène time such as "Clan Cuallaidh", "Touta Nanto En", "Antumnos" and
"Daru Venia".
There is also a camp of Roman legionaries,
from the "Legio 2 Italica" and the "2nd. Raetian Cohort "from Parkstetten, as
well as the Roman group" Bedaienses "from Seebruck / Ising and members of the
4th Vindelicer Cohort.
The Early Middle Ages are represented by "Baios", the "Bajuwaren von Waging", "Nors Farandi" and the Alemanns of the group Nagaroon. There is a large children's program, e.g. A pommel on Iceland horses of the "Bertlhof" and handicrafts for children at Sabine and Martina. From the popular museum program "Experience History".
Xaver Hendlmaier the gem expert, arrow & bow trade Varvölgy and Christianes Allerley offer jewelery, precious stones, archer protection and goods from the past. The "diamond weaver" Peter Böhnlein, comes with his loom and introduces the interesting work of a weaver. Of course, it also sells its fabrics, woven in an authentic, traditional way, for sale.
The "COLL" group entertained the audience with Celtic-inspired music. After the work has been done, you will be strengthened by the Celtic kitchen of Truchtlaching, and the Baumburg Brewery will provide drinks for the thirsty throats.
On Saturday 4.10. Still a few groups in Stöffling, the Celtengerhöft and
show handicraft and camp life.
On this day, you will have the
opportunity to experience the archaeological tour and to get in touch with the
historical actors. Or by bike, explore the original sites at 27 kilometers. The
trail leads over a very idyllic and scenic area, where the history of the
Chiemgau can still be deepened by means of informative slides. Free-of-charge
