The "Kampenwand" towering like a crown over the Chiemgau is a popular excursion destination on beautiful days, especially the conquest of the eastern summit with the large summit cross is especially desired. The fact that only a few minutes of walking time are enough to admire this rocky reef from its less known south side in undisturbed silence, at best interrupted by the whistles of the marmots, is hardly imaginable, but true and highly recommended.
